Nepal, Sept. 19 -- Kulman Ghising, who currently heads three ministries - the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, and the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Urban Development - has called for the termination of contracts for projects that have been neglected or left unattended.

Minister Ghising has directed the secretaries and departmental heads of all three ministries to immediately prepare and submit a list of such deteriorating projects. While reviewing the status of ongoing development projects, Ghising emphasized that the government will not allow contractors who fail to perform to leave projects in an abandoned state.
