Kathmandu, Dec. 1 -- Aspiring doctors and nurses across Nepal are set to compete for a total of 2,030 postgraduate medical education seats this academic session as announced by the Medical Education Commission (MEC). The allocation covers MD, MS, nursing and other specialized programs.
Government medical colleges have been allotted 1,031 seats, while private institutions will offer 999, reflecting a slight increase for government colleges and a marginal decrease for private ones compared to last year. In total, 18 government and 27 private colleges nationwide currently provide postgraduate medical courses.
