Kathmandu, Oct. 20 -- The Mechi Customs Office in Kakadbhitta has collected Rs 4.15 billion in revenue in the first quarter of the current fiscal year 2082/083 BS. The Office received 95 percent of its target for the revenue collection set in the first three months. The target for the revenue collection for the review period was slightly more than Rs 4.36 billion, Information Officer of the Office, Ishwar Kumar Humagain, said.

According to Humagain, the largest chunk of the revenue was collected from imported goods. It is said that revenue Rs 1.8 billion was received from the imported goods in the first three months of the current fiscal year.
