GORKHA, Sept. 28 -- All those injured in the avalanche that occurred at the Camp III of Mt Manaslu on Monday morning have been rescued.

Of those 13 hit by the avalanche, 12 have been rescued alive and safely while the body of 34-year-old Anup Rai of Sankhuwasabha, who died in an avalanche was airlifted to Kathmandu on Tuesday, according to the District Police Office, Gorkha.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Lilaraj Lamichhane shared that Rai's body was sent to Kathmandu via helicopter after a long effort. Rai's body was brought to Samagaon first and then sent to Kathmandu.

According to the police, the body will be handed over to the family for the funeral after the post-mortem at the Maharajganj-based TU Teaching Hospital.
