Nepal, Jan. 9 -- Police have arrested a man on charges of cheating three people of Rs 2.8 million by promising to send them to the United Kingdom for employment.

The accused, 34-year-old Aman Maharjan, a resident of Lalitpur Metropolitan City-16 currently living in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-2, Bhaktapur, allegedly took the money and went out of contact.

Following complaints from the victims, a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku, arrested him on Tuesday.

Police said Maharjan has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment, Tahachal, for further investigation and legal action.
