Kathmandu, Dec. 5 -- Seven political parties in Madhesh Province have agreed on a new chief minister after discussions. The parties reached a consensus on the leadership on Thursday, a day before the deadline set by Province Chief Surendra Labh Karna, who had given until Friday, 5 PM, to form a new government. According to Saroj Kumar Yadav, parliamentary party leader of the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) Nepal, the parties have already settled on a name based on consensus, which will be formally announced on Friday. All seven parties plan to jointly stake their claim to form the government at 2 PM today. Yadav said there was no dispute among the parties and that the new leadership was chosen unanimously.
