Nepal, July 11 -- CPN (Unified Socialist), led by Madhav Kumar Nepal, and the CPN Ekata Rastriya Abhiyan, headed by Bamdev Gautam, have agreed to unify their parties. The two leaders reached the agreement citing shared political ideology, principles, programs, strategies and direction.In a joint statement, Nepal and Gautam said the decision was made in view of the "historical necessity" of uniting Nepal's communist movement. The formal merger will be announced on July 18 at the National Assembly Hall in Kathmandu.
