Nepal, June 28 -- The 74th birth anniversary of the then General Secretary of the CP- UML, Madan Bhandari, is being observed today with various programs. The UML and the Madan Bhandari Foundation are jointly organizing these events to commemorate the people's leader.

On this occasion, the UML Contact Coordination Committee held a morning rally. According to committee secretary R.C. Lamichhane, the rally was held from 7:30 to 8:30 AM, starting at Tripureshwor. The rally walked Thapathali, Maitighar, New Baneshwar before converging into a gathering in Tinkune. UML General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel and Standing Committee Member Lalbabu Pandit were among those present on the occasion.
