Nepal, June 24 -- The House of Representatives has passed the annual budget for the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025/26. Lawmakers on Tuesday approved the budget of Rs 1.964 trillion proposed by the government.
Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel presented the Appropriation Bill, 2082, which was passed by majority vote.

However, the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), the fourth and fifth largest parties in the House respectively, were absent during the vote. Both parties boycotted the session, continuing their protest over the "visit visa" controversy.
