Nepal, Nov. 6 -- A two-day meeting of the Least Developed Countries (LDC) Group in Belem has called for accelerated global climate action amid the worsening climate crisis. The pre-sessional strategy meeting, held on November 4-5, 2025, aimed to strengthen the group's common negotiating positions ahead of the UN Climate Conference (COP30), scheduled to begin next week.
"The internal coordination among the 44 LDC nations focused on their shared priorities and advocacy points for the upcoming formal UN climate talks," said, Dr. Maheshwor Dhakal, Chief of the Climate Change Management Division, who participated in the meeting.
