Nepal, March 21 -- The Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) will begin free screening and initial treatment for breast cancer and cervical cancer starting March 25.
The KMC Health Department, in collaboration with the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Bir Hospital, will conduct screening and treatment until April 2025. The program targets women of reproductive age who were missed in last year's screening, as well as women who tested positive during last year's screening.
According to the program's focal person, Chandra Bhatt, one has to visit the nearest Health Promotion Center to register their details before going for the screening.
