KATHMANDU, Jan. 18 -- Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has given seven days' time to Gopi Krishna Cinema Hall located in Chabahil to pay the outstanding tax.

On Wednesday, the metropolis sent a team including the city police to make the cinema hall pay the entertainment tax, business tax, property tax and other taxes due from the fiscal year 2021/22 within seven days.

They have not paid taxes for more than two fiscal years. "In the meantime, there is no data on how many people watched the movies screened there, how many shows were held in the cinema hall," Dhruv Kafle, head of the Revenue Department of the metropolis, said.
