KATHMANDU, Feb. 20 -- In a move to control the damage the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) University in Odisha has announced a scholarship for Nepali students named after the late Prakriti Lamsal, who was found dead in her universtity dormitory.

The KIIT University announced on social media that it has decided to provide scholarships for Nepali students in the name of late Lamsal, who died in the college hostel.

The university's founder, Prof Achyuta Samanta, had met with Consular officials Sanjeev Sharma Das and Nabin Adhikari from the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi. During this meeting, discussions were held on ensuring justice for Lamsal.
