Nepal, June 24 -- The government has promoted Brigadier General Gaurav Kumar KC of the Nepal Army to Major General. A Cabinet meeting held on Monday at Baluwatar decided to promote to Major General.
KC was transferred just a few days ago as acting division commander of the Eastern Division.His posting has also been finalized there. Until a few weeks ago, he was serving as the spokesperson of the Nepal Army.
General KC joined the officer cadet program of the Nepal Army and completed his training from the Royal Nepalese Military Academy, Kharipati, in 1990, after which he was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Old Gorakh Battalion.
