Nepal, July 1 -- Kavrepalanchok district, which has attained self-sufficiency in milk production, supplies 70 percent of the total milk produced in the district to the federal capital Kathmandu and some other districts. Data shows that approximately 149 million 280 thousand liters of milk is produced annually in the district, the District Livestock Service Office said. There are 43,107 milch cows and 59,320 milch buffaloes in the district at present.
