Nepal, June 27 -- Janata Samajbadi Party-Nepal (JSP-N) has withdrawn its support from the current Lumbini provincial government.

On Friday, provincial assembly member Ambika Kafle, on behalf of the party, notified the speaker of the withdrawal. The move was made in accordance with Article 188(2) of Nepal's Constitution, which allows political parties to withdraw support from the provincial government.

The current government in Lumbini is led by Chief Minister Chet Narayan Acharya of CPN-UML.
