KATHMANDU, Nov. 9 -- A cyclist died in an accident that took place in Tanakpur, Ghodaghodi Municipality-2, along the East-West Highway on Sunday morning.

Chief of the Sukhad Area Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police Ramesh Awasthi, informed that cyclist Shankar Dagoura, 55, of Bardagoria Rural Municipality-6, Kota Tulsipur, died when he was hit by a jeep.

According to Awasthi, the seriously injured Dagoura was rushed to Ghodaghodi Hospital for treatment following the accident, where doctors declared him dead. Three other pedestrians were also reported injured in the accident.
