KATHMANDU, Jan. 18 -- Parliamentary Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, Nakayama Norihiro, paid a two-day official visit to Nepal beginning Thursday.

During the visit, he paid a courtesy call on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister K P Oli, Foreign Minister Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Tourism Minister Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai, according to the Embassy of Japan in Kathmandu.

During these meetings, the two sides exchanged views of mutual interest and cordial relations between the two countries, which has been in place since the bilateral relations between the two countries was established in 1956.
