KATHMANDU, July 7 -- The Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) has decided to sack its leader Sarita Giri from the post of lawmaker for breaching the party whip to withdraw her amendment registered at the Parliament Secretariat against the government's second amendment to the constitution.

Similarly, the JSP also decided to remove her as the general member of the party, according to Mohammad Istiyak Rai, a leader of the party.

The constitution amendment, which was aimed at updating the new administrative and political map of the country on the national emblem, was unanimously endorsed by the House of Representatives on June 18.
