KATHMANDU, Nov. 30 -- CPN-UML Senior Vice-Chair Ishwar Pokharel has said that the party is opting for friendly and healthy competition.

In his video message addressed to all representatives of the party's 11th General Convention on Sunday, Pokharel noted that the selection of delegates had been completed, with some chosen unanimously and others through internal contests.

The one-minute-twenty-seven-second message was aimed squarely at those heading into the landmark convention-where Pokharel himself has already announced his candidacy for party chair, positioning him as the key challenger to incumbent chair KP Sharma Oli.
