Nepal, May 2 -- Dr Vijay Chauthaiwale, head of the Foreign Affairs Department of India's ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has stated that India does not support the pro-monarchy movement in Nepal.
During a meeting on Friday with Barshaman Pun Ananta, Deputy General Secretary of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Dr Chauthaiwale clarified that India supports Nepal's current constitution and democratic system.

According to a statement from Pun's secretariat, the meeting was cordial, and Dr Chauthaiwale emphasized that India has no links to or support for monarchist campaigns in Nepal.
