KATHMANDU, Feb. 20 -- The indefinite curfew imposed in the Birgunj Metropolitan area to contain violent protests has been temporarily lifted from 6AM to 10AM today. Curfew was imposed by the District Administration Office (DAO) Parsa in Birgunj from 5 PM on Monday.

At least 11 police personnel were injured as the agitating protestors targeted police personnel on duty with stones. This came after police personnel tried to intervene in the two separate groups trying to engage in clashes.

The DAO said that the curfew will result after 10AM today.
