Nepal, Aug. 23 -- Imports worth Rs 68.17 billion were recorded through the Birgunj checkpoint in the first month (mid-July to mid-August) of the current Fiscal Year (FY).
According to the Birgunj Customs Office, this is an increase of Rs 8.11 billion compared to the same period last FY, when goods worth Rs 60.06 billion were imported.

Exports also saw significant growth. In mid-July to mid-August of the current FY, goods worth Rs 8.45 billion were exported to various countries, compared to only Rs 3.05 billion in the same period last year.
