Nepal, July 1 -- Ramhari Khatiwada, Chair of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, has said he is ready to face an investigation over the controversial "cooling-off period" clause in the Federal Civil Service Bill 2080 BS.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday after a discussion with the Speaker, Khatiwada said, "This is a serious blow to Parliament. Such a major mistake in lawmaking is unacceptable. We are in favor of an investigation. Let the probe take place first-if I'm found guilty, I'm ready to face action. But there must be an investigation, no matter who is involved."
