Nepal, Sept. 2 -- Police arrested a man in Arghakhanchi for allegedly killing his wife and burying her body in a pit inside their kitchen.

According to District Police Chief Chakrabhadur Malla, 36-year-old Kiran Gurung, a resident of Patalepokhara in Chhatradev Rural Municipality-4, allegedly killed his 26-year-old wife, Sumitra Kumal Gurung.

Sumitra had been missing since Sept 1, prompting her family to file a complaint at the district police office. During interrogation, Kiran reportedly confessed to killing her on the night of Sept 12 following a family dispute and burying the body in the kitchen.
