Nepal, May 17 -- It has been found that government employees were transferred outside the established rules within the civil service.
According to the 62nd report of the Office of the Auditor General (OAG), 75.39 percent of the transfers in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2023/24 were made in violation of regulations.
According to Section 36 of the Civil Service Rules 2050 (1993), when a transfer of civil servants is necessary, it must be done within the following timeframes: ministries must complete transfers between the 1st of Bhadra and the end of the month, central bodies or departments must complete transfers between the 1st and 15th of Ashoj, and regional level bodies must complete transfers between the 16th of Ashoj and the end of the month...
