KATHMANDU, July 15 -- After almost four months of nationwide lockdown enforced by the government to curb the spread of COVID-19, a few public transportation companies have resumed transportation services in Kathmandu Valley.

Sundar Yatayat is among those companies resuming service. The Company, which operated electric bus service in Nepal for the very first time, started providing service to the general public from July 14.

The government of Nepal has permitted transport companies to resume its service following the health safety guidelines issued by the government and charging 50 percent extra fares from the customers. The Sundar Yatayat has, however, resumed its service at a normal fare.
