Nepal, April 22 -- The house arrest imposed on Navaraj Subedi, coordinator of the Joint People's Movement Committee (JPMC) for the Restoration of Monarchy, has been lifted.

Subedi was placed under house arrest after a pro-monarchy protest organized by an anti-establishment group turned violent in Tinkune on March 28.

However, in a statement issued on Tuesday, Subedi mentioned that police surveillance on him has been lifted as of today. He also stated that he has now resumed his duties with the committee.
