Nepal, June 6 -- The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee has completed discussions with lawmakers who proposed amendments to the Nepal Citizenship (First Amendment) Bill, 2081 BS, which seeks to revise the Nepal Citizenship Act, 2063 BS.
According to Committee Chairperson Ramhari Khatiwada, a total of 85 amendments were proposed by 46 lawmakers. He stated that the next meeting will include discussions with officials from the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA), including its current and former presidents, as well as representatives of organizations representing former Gurkha soldiers.
