Nepal, May 8 -- Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has addressed the parliament regarding the arrest of Nagarik Unmukti Party (NUP) Patron Resham Chaudhary, who was arrested on April 30 and released the same day.

Lawmakers raised concerns, stating that the incident had raised serious questions about the country's legal system, and demanded a response from the Home Minister. In his reply, Minister Lekhak clarified that there were no biases involved in Chaudhary's arrest and the law was enforced without any prejudice.
