Nepal, Jan. 23 -- Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has directed authorities to expedite the transfer of juvenile offenders aged above 18 to Nuwakot based correction center, following unrest at the Juvenile Correction center in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, on the night of January 22.

A high-level meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday discussed long-term solutions to the tensions and deteriorating conditions at the facility. The meeting was attended by Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizens Shraddha Shrestha, chiefs of security agencies and senior officials.
