Nepal, Feb. 1 -- The Ministry of Health and Population is planning to implement an integrated electronic system in government health facilities in order to avoid repetition of the same health check up.
As per a decision enforced by Health Minister Pradeep Paudel, once the information of a patient's health check conducted in a hospital is shared to the next health facility, the patients will not have to undergo unnecessary tests again. The ministry believes this would help curb unnecessary burden on the patients and also reduce the diagnosis time and cost of treatment.
