KATHMANDU, March 22 -- The government is establishing a Border Outpost (BOP) along the China-Nepal border in Manang, a mountainous district, to enhance border security and management in Narpa Bhumi Rural Municipality.

The District Administration Office confirmed that the BOP will be set up in Phu village of Narpa Bhumi-4, situated at an altitude of about 4,000 meters above sea level.

Chief District Officer Matrika Acharya stated that authorities are setting up the BOP to strengthen border security and streamline operations in the region. He also said that the government has leased 20 ropanis of land for a long-term to the Armed Police Force, which will use it as needed.
