Nepal, April 2 -- The Department of Commerce, Supply, and Consumer Protection has intensified its market monitoring activities. During its inspection, the department directed seven firms to present their documents to the department.

The department found violations of the Consumer Protection Act, 2075, and the Consumer Protection Rules, 2076, and issued necessary instructions and actions. As part of the actions, the department has suspended the sales of one firm and directed seven others to appear with their documents.
