KATHMANDU, April 19 -- The government has padlocked Nepal Scouts' property, which has been illegally occupied for over five years by Nepali Congress Central Committee member and Member of Parliament Deepak Khadka.

A team from the District Administration Office, Kathmandu along with Nepal Police officials, sealed the land on Thursday evening that Khadka has been using unlawfully.

Khadka allegedly forged the signatures of Nepal Scouts officials and captured the land he had leased for 10 years in 2065 BS.

Despite the contract expiring in 2075 BS, Khadka continued construction on the land instead of returning it to Nepal Scouts.
