TAPLEJUNG, Feb. 25 -- The government on Monday invited the agitating parties to talks, temporarily halting construction of the cable car project in the Pathibhara (Mukkumlung) area of Taplejung.
Issuing a statement on Monday, the negotiation team led by Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs Prem Prasad Bhattarai invited the agitating parties, including the 'No Cable Car Group', for discussions.
The negotiation team has expressed its commitment to address the social, religious, and cultural issues raised by the local community through talks.
