Nepal, May 12 -- Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey has said that the government is actively working to ensure the effective operation of Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa.

Speaking at a program held in Lumbini on the occasion of the 2569th Buddha Jayanti, Minister Pandey emphasized that the airport's functionality is closely tied to Lumbini's significance as a spiritual site. He said that an implementation plan is already in place for the operation of both Bhairahawa and Pokhara airports, although some challenges remain.
