Nepal, April 14 -- There will be 88 public holidays in the year 2082 BS. The government has published a notice in the Nepal Gazette informing that there will be 88 public holidays.

According to the notice published in the Gazette, there are 52 Saturdays this year. The government has decided to grant 36 days of holidays for various festivals and special days.

Seven days of leave have been granted for Dashain and five days for Tihar. Apart from these, holidays for other festivals amount to 28 days. The government has also decided to declare six days as public holidays nationwide including International Workers' Day, Republic Day, Constitution Day, Martyrs' Day, Democracy Day and International Women's Day.
