KATHMANDU, Nov. 16 -- The government has asked all rural municipalities and municipalities to submit details of the damage caused during the Gen Z protests on September 8 and 9.

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration has written to all 753 local units across the country, requesting them to provide the damage reports. The ministry said in a letter dated November 12 that it had instructed the local units to enter the details of losses from the protests into an online portal.

The ministry said the letter includes the information needed to upload the data to the portal. It clarified that the details are required for reconstruction and related work.
