KATHMANDU, Nov. 18 -- A major technical issue at Cloudflare, a leading internet infrastructure provider, caused widespread disruption across websites globally, including several in Nepal.

Users experienced errors such as "Internal Server Error" on major platforms like X (formerly Twitter) as well as multiple Nepali news portals, e-commerce sites, and online service providers.

Cloudflare provides essential services such as traffic management and protection against cyberattacks. Even minor glitches in its network can directly affect thousands of websites that rely on its infrastructure.

Soon after the issue surfaced, Cloudflare released a statement acknowledging the problem and confirming that its teams were investigating the cause.
