Nepal, July 2 -- Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has formally submitted a request to the Ministry of Home Affairs to relinquish her state-provided privileges and services.
The request, submitted on Wednesday, states that the withdrawal of benefits should take effect immediately.

Bhandari's decision comes shortly after she officially announced her return to active politics through the CPN-UML last Saturday. Her move to give up the government-provided facilities follows public scrutiny and aligns with her re-entry into partisan political life.
