Nepal, July 11 -- Balaram Balbahadur Gharti Magar, a leader of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and former minister, has passed away. He died while undergoing treatment at B&B Hospital in Gwarko, Lalitpur, at around 10:30 am on Friday. He was 87. The news was confirmed by RPP joint Spokesperson Mohan Shrestha. Born in Rolpa, Gharti Magar served as a minister 11 times at different stages of his political career. He was known for his clean image and was widely regarded as a simple and principled leader.
