Nepal, Nov. 8 -- Flight operations at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have been temporarily suspended after an electrical short circuit occurred on the runway, disrupting both domestic and international flights.

According to TIA officials, the short circuit took place at around 5:25 PM Saturday and is believed to have been caused by water seepage due to continuous rainfall. Preliminary findings suggest that an "edge light" located along the side of the runway was affected due to the rain.
