Kathmandu, Oct. 20 -- Five supplementary writ petitions have been filed at the Supreme Court (SC) against the dissolution of the House of Representatives (HoR). Earlier, 11 similar petitions had already been registered.
The hearing for these petitions has been scheduled for October 29, according to the SC Spokesperson Arjun Prasad Koirala. So far, a total of 16 writ petitions have been registered, demanding mandamus and certiorari orders to nullify the appointment of the Prime Minister Sushila Karki, annul the HoR dissolution and reinstate the parliament. The Constitutional Bench will hear the cases.
