Nepal, June 20 -- The Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office has issued a notice stating that road excavation will be prohibited starting from June 17 until mid-September.

In a public notice, the office stated that during the monsoon season, roads dug up for purposes such as water supply, sewage, electricity, and telephone cannot be immediately repaired and restored to their original condition, which further damages the roads. Hence, road excavation has been restricted during this period.
