Nepal, March 31 -- Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has pledged a thorough investigation into the death of journalist Suresh Rajak, who lost his life during a pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu, on Friday.

During a meeting with Rajak's family at Baluwatar on Monday, the prime minister expressed deep sorrow over the incident and assured them that strict action would be taken. He also urged the family to proceed with the journalist's final rites and promised to arrange employment for Rajak's wife.

Rajak's wife, Sujan, along with his brothers Ramesh and Dinesh, attended the meeting, among other family members.
