Nepal, Jan. 20 -- Supporters of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak burned effigies of NC President Gagan Thapa and VP Bishwa Prakash Sharma in Kanchanpur-3 after Lekhak was denied a party ticket.
Effigies of Nepali Congress (NC) President Gagan Thapa and Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma were burned in Kanchanpur constituency no. 3 by supporters of former Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, who was denied a party ticket.The protest took place in Dodhara-Chandani, with Lekhak's supporters expressing their anger over the decision.
Lekhak has previously contested elections from the same constituency and won a seat in the dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) elections.
