Nepal, Nov. 15 -- EC discusses election preparation with Home MinisterThe Election Commission (EC) held a meeting with Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal on Friday to discuss preparations for the upcoming National Assembly election on January 25, 2026, and the House of Representatives election on March 5, 2026.During the meeting, Home Minister Aryal assured that the government would provide all necessary resources for the elections while ensuring peace and security.

He also added that as the government seeks to increase youth participation in the meeting, an amendment to the Voter List Act, 2073, through an ordinance, has extended the voter registration deadline.
