KATHMANDU, Feb. 13 -- The protest program organized by a group led by the controversial medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai began in the capital with the release of a pair of pigeons today.

The protest, launched as a part of the 'Saving Nation, Nationality, Religion, Culture, and Citizen Rescue Campaign', commenced last year on Falgun 1 in the presence of the former King Gyanendra Shah. The group has been advocating for the restoration of monarchy and the reinstatement of Nepal as a Hindu state.

The Prasai-led group has announced a demonstration program at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu, along with planned demonstrations in various seven locations in the Kathmandu Valley. Former King Gyanendra Shah was also invited to address the event. Howe...
