Nepal, June 6 -- CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal has revealed that Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba recently called him to inquire about the corruption case filed against former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Dahal said, "Deuba Ji called me yesterday. He specifically asked about the case filed against Madhav Nepal, wanting to know what had happened."

Dahal said he was surprised that Deuba, one of the senior-most leaders of the ruling coalition, was unaware of the issue. "I was taken aback when he asked me about it. I thought, shouldn't I be the one asking you instead?" Dahal recalled telling Deuba.
